Kenna Bourke won the prestigious English Speaking Union's Duke of Edinburgh Book Competition for her grammar series for young learners, The Grammar Lab. This award is given for the year's most innovative English language teaching publication. Kenna is the author of levels 5 and 6 of Oxford Discover: a six level primary school series that teaches English using an inquiry-based approach to learning. She is also the author of the Test it, Fix it series. This series of ten grammar and vocabulary tests for older students helps them learn from their mistakes and is suitable for self-study and classroom use. Additionally, Kenna has written books for the Oxford Connections Literacy series: Children in the Second World War, Animal Chatter, and Mountains; and for the Cambridge Discovery Readers series: Lost!, So Cute, Slime, Deadly Animals and Jeff Corwin — Wild Man. She currently lives and works in New York City.
