Before writing this textbook, I taught business communication for over 30 years. During this time, I used several business communication books, but they all seemed inadequate in three important ways: they were too expensive and too long (I wondered why they needed 500 pages to teach how to write concisely), and the content was not presented in a clear, brain-friendly manner.
